Ermonela Ruspi, Commissioner of the Special Section, Ombudsman Institution
Ms. Ermonela Ruspi serves as Commissioner of the Section for Police, Secret Service, Prisons, Armed Forces and Judiciary at the institution of the People's Advocate.
She has completed her higher education in law. She then completed her postgraduate studies and then her doctoral studies at the University of Tirana. During her academic activity, in 2010 she earned the academic title of “Associate Professor” and in 2015 the academic title of “Associate Professor”.
After completing her university studies, she initially worked in several local and central public administration institutions. For the period 2004 - 2019 she was engaged full-time in academic activity at “Eqrem Çabej” University. In addition to teaching, she is also engaged in management functions. Also, for several years she was an external lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law, Faculty of Law, University of Tirana.
Ms. Ruspi also has a rich scientific activity. She has published a number of articles in scientific journals at home and abroad, participated in scientific projects, and has presented as first author or co-author at national and international scientific conferences, a good part of which are in the field of human rights.
