Board of friends

• The Board of Friends consists of no fewer than 5 and no more than 13 members, Albanian or foreign citizens, with recognized contributions in historical and scientific research on issues related to dealing with the past, who support the Authority in fulfilling the functions assigned to it by law.
• The Board of Friends is proposed by the members of the Authority, who elect from among the members of the Board the President and Vice President.
• The Board advises the Authority in decision-making related to the functioning and organization of the institution, as well as in the involvement in projects that enhance the Authority's capacities.
• The Board of Friends promotes the activities of the Authority and supports educational initiatives undertaken by the institution.

Mr. Knut Fleckenstein, a German politician and the European Parliament's rapporteur for Albania, has accepted the invitation to join the Board of Friends of the Authority. Mr. Roland Jahn has also accepted the invitation to join the Board of Friends of the Authority.
