Excerpt from the testimony of former political convict Nevrus Golka given to AIDSSH. Nevrus Golka, born on March 25, 1945, in Mborje, Korçë. He was arrested on the evening of November 10, 1963, in the village of Dardhë, accused of attempting to escape and committing the crime of treason against the homeland. He served an 8-year prison sentence. In February 1973, he attempted to escape again from Pogradec. He was caught at the border and sentenced to 10 years in prison. He served his sentences in Spaç prison from 1968 to 1982.
