Excerpt from the testimony of former political convict Fatos Lubonja given to AIDSSH. Fatos Lubonja, born on April 27, 1951, in Tirana. He was arrested on January 15, 1974, on the charge of "agitation and propaganda against the people's power" and was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment. In 1979, he was re-sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment. He served his sentence in Spaç, from 1974 until March 1990.
