“Learning about the Past – Open Educational Resources 1944-1991.” Documentary exhibition, democratic movements through the eyes of the former State Security, held on February 20, 2023, Tirana.

AIDSSH, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Albanian Telegraphic Agency, Albanian Radio and Television, and the Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education (ASCAP), organized an archival exhibition featuring documents from the former State Security on the democratic movements of 1990–1991, along with photos and videos. The event also presented the digital platform project “Learning About the Past – Open Educational Resources, 1944–1991,” an open-access platform for pre-university education professionals, parents, and students.

Documentary exhibition held in commemoration of the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Totalitarian Regimes. The barbed wire camp of Tepelena stands as one of the darkest chapters of the dictatorship, where for several years, thousands of family members of regime opponents—women, children, and the elderly—were held in inhumane conditions, despite being innocent. During the event held on August 23, 2023, a documentary exhibition was presented featuring documents created by the former State Security, dating from 1949 to 1952. The presented typologies include:
1. Fund No. 49, “Investigation” Branch, Decisions of the Commission on Deportations and Confiscations concerning internments. A nominal list of those interned during the years 1949 – 1952 from various districts such as Tepelenë, Përmet, Gjirokastër, Korçë, Pogradec, Tirana, Lezhë, Krujë, Peshkopi, Kukës, Tropojë, Pukë, Shkodër, etc.
2. Fund No. 142 “Operational Communiqués,” announcements and information on daily events in the Tepelena camp, as well as reports on the interned and the deceased in various camps.
3. Fund No. 4 “First Directorate of State Security,”  information on the condition of the camps at the end of each month during the years 1950–1952, concerning the interned individuals in the Tepelena Camp, statistical summaries, and more.  

“Chosen,” a commemorative exhibition on the 76th anniversary of the political execution of deputies and intellectuals on October 10, 1947.

For the construction of the exhibition, judicial investigation files numbered 2224 and 1393 were reviewed, as well as the personal files of Kolë Kuqali, Selaudin Toto, Halit Gjolena, Isuf Hysenbegasi, and Hasan Reçi, which are held by the Authority for Information on the Files of the Former State Security, along with the files of the Monarchist, Social-Democratic, and Resistance groups sentenced one year before the deputies and intellectuals under review.
