As part of the Days of Remembrance (February 20-27), the Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents (AIDSSH) is organizing the Interaction Dialogue with Local Government to develop a practical guide on cooperation methods with local structures in the process of verifying and addressing issues related to historical memory.
This manual clearly defines the cooperation mechanisms in key areas such as:
Verification of the profiles of candidates for decorations, honorary titles, and the naming of streets and public spaces. Handling of suspected execution burial sites, unmarked graves, and memorial sites. Cooperation with educational institutions, libraries, and local museums to promote education and awareness about the past.
The dialogue aims to strengthen the role of local government in processes of transparency and historical memory, contributing to shedding light on the past and respecting the dignity of the victims of the former regime.
