CALL FOR PAPER SUBMISSIONS | SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM
The Authority for Information on the Former State Security Documents invites researchers, historians, lecturers, advanced-level students, and all interested individuals to submit their papers for the symposium:
“The Border of Hope and Death 1944–1991 – Shkodra Facing the Past”
Shkodër
August 28–29, 2025
The papers should address topics related to the border policies of the communist regime, cases of escape attempts, punishment and repression in border areas—particularly in the Shkodër region—as well as collective memory and the documentation of this dramatic period.
All interested parties can refer to the attached official call, which includes:

* formatting of the paper
* contacts for application and communication
We invite every voice that wishes to contribute to shedding light on this part of the past, through study, analysis, and documented memory.
