Today, the Authority was visited by history students from the summer school “Oral History,” accompanied by Prof. Assoc. Dr. Enriketa Pandelejmoni, history lecturer at the University of Tirana.
Eager to learn more about the institution’s mission and challenges, as well as the process of collecting, preserving, and using oral testimonies, the students attentively followed the experts’ discussion about the project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Spaç Revolt, titled “Traces of Resistance and Solidarity.” They also listened to the testimony of Musa Hoxha, a former Spaç prisoner at the age of 22.
During the visit, the students were also introduced to the archive of documents of the Former State Security, the history of its creation and the transition to the administration of the Authority.
At the end of the meeting, books related to oral testimonies, collected within the framework of projects implemented by the Authority over the years, on those interned and disappeared under communism, were distributed to the students.
